A war in Karachi, you can only feel…

Since long time i wanted to write article on the topic of Phatan Mahajir War in Karachi, but i was not able to make my heart ready, because i used to think that i should not be a part of this war electronically or physically. But last night made my fucking mind, when we lost our MQM consoler’s elder brother Munawar Khanzada in this war. He lives just after 3 house of me, he had a part time business of catering and decoration and his shop is also located in our are Buffer Zone 15/B, shop name is Khanzada Decoration near to Todays Hotel after crossing Nagan Flyover.

I myself is a proof of this incident, that time I was in the sweet shop just next to munawar’s shop, I clearly heared sound of 5 fired. After listening firing we all came out from shop and saw one men with pistol is going back to his partner who was on motor bike. They ran away from there, in the meanwhile we all run to munawar’s shop and saw munawar’s body with full of blood, he fired 5 bullets on his chest. We were just picking munawar’s body in our hands from floor, and we heared another 2 fire sounds and when i turned my face to back I saw friend of munawar was firing openly those two mens on bike, a person who killed munawar lost his pistol due to firing of munawar’s friend. All boys who had their vehicles or motor bikes tried to catch those two mens but they easily ran away from spot. We then moved munawar’s body to eidhi center and asked them to save his life, but they informed us that munawar has been died.

When i back to my area i saw every shop is closed in the protest of this attack, except me there are several peoples who watched all over show, they all made ensure that those two mens were related to phattans. Then I thought what the hell it is? Why this war is going on? Can anyone what happens with munawar’s sick mother? What about munawar’s wife and kids? Who will care of them? Why these guys are fighting like mad dogs? There is no answer….. except power.

I am not and can not motivate MQM efforts i just wrote what i saw and felt, i know there is lot of wrong things with phattans from MQM, but killing each other is solution? no, Never….

I can only pray for good, May Allah help us to avoid these kind of issues. Ameen!

Sasta Tandoor

To combat hunger and the effects of soaring food inflation, a project, “Insaf Sasta Tandoor” initiated by Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, will be launched in Karachi by the end of this month.

The project- earlier launched in Punjab, Peshawar and Islamabad- will be first of its kind in Karachi.

The Tandoor will provide a subsidised meal during lunch hours and charge only Rs5 per person. The meal will consist of two naans and a bowl of daal.

“We are targeting 1,000 meals a day for which we need to generate approximately Rs25,000 to Rs30,000 daily,” Jamal Ghaznavi, a businessman and member of the project, told The News.

Activists and different professionals including businessmen, doctors and teachers have joined hands to fight the ‘war against hunger’ and generate funds for the project. The members have collected some money but it is not sufficient for the consistent running of the project in 100 different low-income neighbourhoods in Karachi.

“We are looking for regular contributors depending on how much each donor can afford,” said Sadia Agha, a teacher running a school in Qayyumabad, a low-income neighbourhood.

For 100 daily meals, the members require Rs850 in the form of each donation per month, for 500 meals Rs4,250, for 1,000 meals Rs8,500 and Rs8,500 for 10,000 meals.

Ghaznavi said that even though the idea was conceived of in Karachi, it could not be implemented in time because the cost of running the Tandoor was higher in the city as compared to other provinces. “We needed to rent out a space for setting up the Tandoor but the rent of even a small room was quite high so we invested in other provinces first to see the response,” he said. “The response was overwhelming. We hope to receive the same kind of support here.” Insaf Welfare Trust aims at setting up its first stall in a squatter settlement near Kalapul followed by a second one in a Katchi Abadi near Bath Island.

According to the survey report of the UNWFP (United Nations World Food Programme), covering the year to the end of March 2008, the number of food-insecure people in Pakistan increased by 28 per cent, from 60m to 77m, compared to the previous year. This means that nearly half of the population in the country is food-insecure and the worst affected are people living below the poverty line.

Are we repeating same action?

Before several years, Pakistan government decided to hire more resources in Police due to violation in Pakistan. No doubt, In that time they were failed to maintain quality of criteria in that hiring process. And just because of wrong entries and insincere work we still face lot of illiterate police guys in our daily life.

Now in 2008, we can see lot of new enhancement in Police again. We have now several type of teams in the section of Police. Like City Police, Commanders and blah blah blah. I find only few things different in them just their ages. Both have no respect for natives and rather than their jobs and responsibility.

They hired those who were not able to clear their school exams? IQ factor again zero in them. They cant even read your vehicle registration number? They hired those who find your religion in your name? They call you as “****” when you argue with them? They hit a stick on your vehicle if by chance you don’t stooped on signals? Is this any thing professional?

Majority they have minimum 45 waist. They cant even run to catch robber. They cant even jump over the wall. Where training goes? isn’t it like hiring dump dogs to secure your nation? Major thing is they don’t know their responsibility, they stop you while you riding or driving and ask for license. I ask is it their responsibility? I don’t think so, I believe to protect from street crime must be high prioritized duty of them.

See what happens if GOD FORBIDS some dogs snatch your vehicle? You go to register FIR in nearest police station, first it will be great favor of ALLAH if you find someone to listen or write your complain. After listening complain they give you unregistered receipt (kacha challan). What the hell it is? :D Is it included in the formal process?

Well talk about criteria in police hiring, I think this is very important part of any society or any nation. If you loose this section so might be you get hurt yourself. Mostly police have a lot interaction with citizens. Tell me if your are running advertisement agency then you will have to face lot of clients in your daily operations and i am dam sure you cant meet your client as police meet with citizens? There should not be any communication both visual and verbal training for them? Why always they open top 3 buttons of their shirts? Why they eat pan in their duty time?

Some common bad points of police:
1. They don’t know how to talk with citizen.
2. They don’t know how to wear their uniforms.
3. They cant talk to you because they are busy with PAN.
4. They stop you and ask for CHAYEE PANI.
5. They think police is profession to earn money.
6. They don’t even know what does police means.

If had a chance to hire to police men then i will find following points:
1. Must have good communication skills (English not compulsory)
2. Must have good visual communication.
3. Must have knowledge about documented rules and regulations.
4. Must be committed with their duties.
5. At least must have verified bachelor degree in related field. (it gives you at least above 4 points)

I am not saying all are dogs in police, But unfortunately one fish can disturb all sea. :) Majority in police are not up to the mark. Don’t know who will fix it? But i know if this things get fix up then we would see bright Pakistan!

What the hell it is? Are we all going to die like this?

Sunday night in Islamabad, we had largest explosion in Pakistan’s history. This time target was Marriot Hotel, after watching video clip provided by Marriot Hotel Security camera every one can say this attack was from Taliban. If you are thinking why marriot hotel? So its obvious marriot hotel is a five star hotel and lot of foreigners stays there, and Taliban believes they will have paradise if they kill non mulsims (Americans), F**K You. This blasts was not surprise me, i took this attack as a reaction of tribal areas’ operations. In the name of terrorism our government with America killing us in tribal areas and Taliban are killing us in Islamabad and other cities. Are you going to join paradise in this way? No dogs you only will enjoy hell. InshAllah.

Lets salute to security of Pakistan, before few days Pakistan was trying to convince ICC for champions trophy in a Pakistan and during convince Pakistan submitted lot of security clearance reports to ICC. I ask what u checked? what u verified? Is it your authentication against terror threats? I ask management of Pakistan they are killing number of talibans (dont think so) in tribal areas so are you guys not ready for thier attack in reaction? Is it called RED ALERT security? I mean how a truck with 1000 KG explosive material can trave in your roads? Dont you guys have check point for traffic? Sure you have security check points but only for us (normal citizens), isnt it? I am really against your system and believes you all are dogs. During musharraf’s time of period you were all jumping from seats to stop terrorism and now in your turn you are on visit of America, Dubai, Saudia, and etc etc. I think we all should quit from Pakistan like you.

Taliban, i really dont want to use good words for you, but being a blogger i cant write my true feeling for you dogs. What is wrong with you? You are killing innocent peoples open your eyes you just killed over 50 innocent peoples in Islamabad, you just killed Muslims when they were breaking their fast. You kill only innocent peoples and on sunday you killed most of the security guards and drivers. If you open you history of attacks, then you will know you only killed innocent peoples, not a single responsible person. Simply dogs!

I really think one day we will also die because of Taliban’s attack, and our government’s low management of security. Anyways really sad for sunday’s attack. Hope you get back on right track!

Aakhir kab tak? – When you will leave our schools?

Clash with security forces.. Not in KU

Clash with security forces.. Not in KU

Recently there was dispute between two political party, several died, several injured, evening and night of fear, was it ground of war? Nops this was a ground of education where we birth our graduates and post graduates even phd too. Yes on Tuesday night there was controversial war between two political parties in the Karachi University. I cant believe that KU is a school but what is going there? Thats why i said in my last posts that i would like to remove every political name from every institutes. Because our politics are not general politics its all personal politics….

I don’t have words to explain my opinion, of course these are not good for both party. But how more you will kill our youth? How much sir and how long? Those who should be studying in institutes they are moving with weapons… I was very angry after reading the comments from officials of KU.. Just look these peoples…

KU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. Pirzada Qasim said “There should be a change in the mindset of the students. Intolerance, indiscipline, raw emotionalism and lack of proper education up to the college level are the root cause of the students’ nasty behavior. Yes, I do think that teachers of the university are also to blame. They have to groom the students to make them (the students) fit for higher education,”

Its good know facts but we need solutions sir. Why don’t you close university and ask government to remove such parties from university, and till then university will remain close. Of course most of the students will help you in this activity.

Prof. Rais Alvi was very sad and dejected. “They are not our students though they are enrolled here (at KU). I have seen and dealt with the students for a long time but now the things have changed immensely. The students behave in such crude manner and use such improper language that I feel ashamed.”

Sir jee you are authority why don’t u suspend these peoples? And how they could be enrolled? isn’t there any admission criteria of enrollment? OR You guys don’t follow any criteria?

This is not first time we hearing about clashed in university and colleges, but i ask president of both parties “Aakhir kab tak”? I request all political leaders to remove their stuff from every nation because Institutions are only place to learn not to fight… Please!

Ab basi bhi karo – {now stop it}

OK, now stop it dude :@ i am very angry about KESC procedures and processes. I agree they have shortage of electricity and they allowed load shedding schedule. But you dogs why the hell you switch off electricity at 3 am? When we will sleep? When we will reach to our offices? Why i dont find my fan in running state when i go back to home from office? Why Why Why? What you are doing? Whats a problem? Shortage? My foot this is all “HADH HARAMI”. Let me prove!

No Light! So Dark!

No Light! So Dark!

In KESC company profile, published on their website author writes:

“The Karachi Electric Supply Company Limited was incorporated on 13th September 1913 under the Indian Companies Act, 1882 as amended to date vied the Companies Ordinance 1984. The Company is listed on Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad Stock Exchanges. The Government of Pakistan took control of the Company by acquiring majority shareholding in 1952.”

It means KESC had a complete control in 1952 and now is 2008 so it becomes 56 years approximate to half century. In 56 years they only have 2 Power Stations under capacity enhancement project. One power station is located in Bin Qasim and it has 575 Mw capacity. Other power station is located in Korangi and it has 220 Mw capacity. These two power stations covering complete Karachi and including some sindh areas and hyderabad also in the covering list.

So the first worst thing is that in the 56 years they are not able to create more power stations? Creating a power stations could be difficult task but they cant even maintain these two available units properly. Daily on news i heard / read about failure of power stations. What they are doing? Didn’t they make a plan for future in past? Or as usual plan is in the storage files?

Just because of them normal native is so disturb! We cant even sleep in night, We reach our offices late, When we go back to home so we cant find electricity. When it will be fix? Still they cant see any solution for these issues. Because of no electricity peoples buying Generators and due to high prices of fuel people prefer Gas Generators and it is surely not good for SSGC. But i hope SSGC is doing something for this and they must have contingency plans. I hope!… Otherwise we will be crying for GAS shortage ….

Don’t know whats wrong if KESC facing genuine problem so why don’t they announce their issues in front public. At least we will stop writing bad for you (if any genuine reason).

Here i don’t have any single hope from KESC… so cant say .. hope for good :)

When we will have efficient education system?

Here is Pakistan we have lot of problems and issues and one from all issues is “Education Standards”. Education always plays a base role in every nation, if you have standardize, modern and advance education in your nation so you can give birth excellent names. But with old stuff, not useful material you can only produce dumps like us. For long time we are studying same syllabus and structure of exams and practicals.

Lower level of education in Pakistan

Lower level of education in Pakistan

If i could be control education system of Pakistan so i would love to change following things:

First i would like to remove differences in education at the level of Board, Schools and Colleges. Simply same studying material for every students, every means every!

Then i would like to remove political parties interfer from all colleges and universites. This is good to have some political activities, but we have no single good point for it!

Then i simply will create new syllabus which will be advance and modern. So our students can face abroad system and technologies without any extra effort. Most of our subjects based on flames but i would like students to learn something creative and innovative.

Then i simply change structure of exams, currently we have text based exams system there is no scenerio structure in our exams, and because of it we have 0% analytical skills.

Then i would like to involve sports activites in every institutions. Which will be helpful to work in team enviorment.

Then in the end i would like to announce free education to all over the Pakistan for School and College Life.

After implementing above points we can see, not a single students going to abroad for higher study, we will have lot scientist and inventor in our nation. Our economy will be increase. Our value will be higher in any industry of world.

But who think about this? I am just graduate from local university in karachi. And when i can think this so what the hell authorities doing? Just making money! Shit!

Champion Trophy in Pakistan? a fair opinion

Well i am Pakistani and living right now in karachi. I now very well current environments and condition in Pakistan and its cities and i support Champions Trophy should not conduct in Pakistan because there are lot of security threats in Pakistan right now.

CT in Pakistan or not?

CT in Pakistan or not?

In NWFP sector security forces are doing operation against terrorism, Other sectors such as Punjab and Sindh are completley black with political issues. In Balochistan there are also lot of disturbance between forces and extrisims. In all News TV channels of Pakistan showing bomb blasts events in thier Breaking news section. So simply its not secure to condutc 2nd major event of ICC in Pakistan.

Try to understand, terrorist activites becoming so fats now days and during this if any player GOD FORBIDS dies then Pakistan will have to face 10 years banned from Internation Cricket? Then what we will do? Just realize facts and figure of Pakistan they try to convince others for playing in nation!

Requests to everyone, kindly pray for Pakistan!

Muhammad Asif – a silly dog!

I dont know whay Asif is trying to defend his drug controversy. But i just know this is not a asif’s duty Cricket board should support Asif in this case, and if Asif is really involved in drugs cricket board should take harsh step against Asif and set an example for the others. Whats going on with our bowlers? First shoaib faced drug controversies and then Asif. Dont they know drug is not allowed in cricket also? Drug is always bad for you in any case whteher you playing or not but our bowlers always take these stuff.

A 2 years old Asif

A 2 years old Asif

I was reading The News and got a news about ‘B’ Sample positive just look how much Asif is confident?

“I am still confident that I will play for Pakistan and that day is not far away. I am very confident that I will be cleared of all charges.”

“I was well assisted by my lawyer Shahid Karim and my medical expert Dr Graham Durgan during these difficult times.”

Asif insisted. “I can assure everyone that I never took any banned substance or drugs to enhance my performance. Which is why I am still confident of being cleared in this case. We will fight it to the end,”

This is simply shit dude! we are not fool and we have open eyes what you are saying and why you are saying. I simply recommend PCB to forget ASIF at this stage otherwise Asif could be next Shoaib Akhter in attitute.

Anyways Good Luck for CT!

CDGK begins City Owner’s

Published on : http://www.regionaltimes.com/15aug2008/metro/cdgk.php

Karachi: Citizens of Karachi got themselves registered as “City Owners” on Thursday when good number of people including women responded to the appeal of City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal regarding voluntary community service for at least a couple of hours a week.

Festive mood was prevalent at the Civic Centre Lawn on 14th August-the first day of registration of city volunteers as thousands of people including laborers, students, artists, businessmen, sportsmen, government officers, elected representatives, office bearers of Arts Council, KATI, LATI, Baqai University, rickshaw/taxi drivers and even pesh imam received their membership card. City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal, City Naib Nazim Mrs. Nasreen Jalil and DCO Karachi Javed Hanif were also present on the occasion. Staff of City Government received registration forms from 10 am to 7pm on the first day. A total of 7050 forms were submitted on 14th August. Considering the rush of the people at the counter, the City Nazim also directed concerned department to set up the registration office at the ground floor of civic center on permanent basis.

Earlier the City Nazim and DCO Karachi also obtained their cards while standing in queue. Nazim Karachi remained at the venue throughout the day and inquired from the people, visiting registration counter, about their fields of interest. Most of the volunteers were included youths and common citizens while the City Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil, Town Nazmeen, elected representatives, Secretary Arts Council of Pakistan Ahmed Shah and members of governing body, senior police officer Niaz Siddiqui, Lieutenant General (R) Saeed Azhar, Vice Chancellor Baqai University, Chairman Korangi Association of Trade and Industry, Shaikh Fazal Jalil, Vice Chairman Johar Qandhari and former Chairman Masood Naqi, Senior Vice Chairman Landhi Association of Trade and Industry Dawood Jhagora, Ashraf Tai, Behroz Subzwari, Hanif S. Kalia, Samiullah, Agha Masood Hussain, Nadia Khan, Saira Khan, Ambreen Khan, Azfar, Mani, Naila Jaffery and other renowned personalities also received their cards as “City Owners”.

Talking to media representatives on this occasion, City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal said that the citizens of Karachi could not asked for better gift than this on their Independence Day. He said that the volunteers will be issued with the same cards irrespective of their financial status or background and each one who would take the responsibility of protecting the trees or bus stop in front of their homes or business place will be the “City Owner”.

“We have installed beautiful bus stops in the city, now it is the duty of the citizens to come forward and protect these places while creating civic sense among the people. Instead of criticizing the government, citizens would now have to do practical work for at least two hours a week on voluntary basis like it happened in developed nations of the world,” he added. Nazim Karachi further said that we have constructed big parks and made the city green by planting millions of trees besides the construction of beautiful roads, flyovers and underpasses. It is now the responsibility of the peoples to guard their own assets. He said that a special section has been established at the city government for registration of “City Owners”. Instead of criticizing the government, its policies or projects, people should come forward and participate in the city’s development.
